The new botanical dictionary includes about 3,000 common words in Latvian with scientific names in Latin and equivalents in English, German and Russian. The dictionary was created in the project of the Latvian Science Council "Smart complex of information systems of the special lexicon of biology for research and preservation of linguistic diversity", proj. No. lzp-2020/1-0179 (01.01.2021 - 31.12.2023). The dictionary offers several types of search options: t.s. simple search, alphabetical search, filter search (by specific characters) and semantic search. The dictionary also includes educational games for learning plant names and testing and expanding knowledge about plants.
