The Route of the Empires is an application in Arabic and French of archaeological and historical discovery of southern Morocco.

Agadir Oufella, Igiliz, Sijilmâsa, Nul Lamta, Akka and Zagora: from the Atlantic to Tafilalet, along the foothills of the Atlas, stretches the northern edge of the Sahara.
In medieval times (10th-16th century), this cross-road concentrated the political and economic stakes of the Moroccan dynasties which succeeded one another in power.

This application allows you to discover the location of its ancient cities and their visualization in 3D, thanks to the research work of the Jacques-Berque Center (Rabat), in partnership with the Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture.

Ratings and reviews

I gave it 2 stars because of the good idea and initiative. But 1, the map is wrong and 2, it is only in French, it should be in Arabic, Amazigh and English first, then other languages. Unistalling as it is useless for now. I hope it is fixed soon so I can install it again. UPDATE: only 24hours after my comment, the bug was fixed and I had a response confirming it, THANK YOU! The app looks great. I have installed it again and will proudly share it around. Looking forward to more languages soon

Very much appreciated 🙏🏽 The main purpose I think is introducing foreigners to Morocco, hence using English, which is a good move (however i don't know how to switch it on, French seems to be on by default). Scrolling through articles could be a bit smooth and faster animations would be a plus. Overall, it's great 👌🏽

Very beneficial, tutorial, and entertainment. I love it so much, it gives me the opportunity to see places before I visit them. But still I think it could be better named in English. Keep the hard work! !La ghalba ila lah!
