You worked hard today. 📿
While you've been busy taking care of all your tasks, have you perhaps forgotten where your heart actually lies?
Marga is a mindfulness app that quietly speaks to such feelings. 'Marga' means 'path' in Sanskrit. It explains the Buddha's wisdom in simple modern terms, offering a small thing you can do right now on anxious days, angry days, or sleepless nights. It is okay if you don't know Buddhism or have no religion.
✦ What you can do on Marga
1. An emotion diary and mind diary where you receive replies when you write ✍️
Write down what happened today and choose the emotion closest to your current state. Six emotion characters—Anxiety, Loneliness, Anger, Sadness, Gratitude, and Exhaustion—will send replies to your diary. Characters that resemble your current self will visit you based on the emotions you write about frequently, and after a month, you can look back on how your mind has flowed.
2. When Your Mind Is Cluttered, Just 1 Minute Meditation 🪵
· Tapping the Wooden Bell: When feeling stifled, let go of one thing with every tap.
· Rolling Prayer Beads: When your thoughts are overwhelming, gather them in one place by turning the beads one by one.
· Breathing Practice: When you are tense, listen to the sound of rain while inhaling for 4 seconds and exhaling for 6 seconds.
· Ringing a Singing Bowl: When your head feels full, listen quietly until the sound fades away.
3. Reciting Mantras for the Situation 📿
We will start by showing you which mantras to recite in specific moments. Listen, repeat, and try reciting them on your own. When you finish the practice, one of today's lamps is lit, and as the lamps accumulate, your own path opens up from the small trail to the mountain temple.
4. Buddhist Stories Made Easy 📖
Starting with questions you have asked yourself at least once—'Will this time eventually pass?', 'Why did that have to happen at that specific moment?', 'Why is life so hard?'—we have explained Buddhist philosophy in modern terms. Also, please read 'The Buddha's Words,' which translates the Buddha's teachings from the scriptures into words for today.
5. Sounds That Are Good Just to Play 🎧
· Singing bowls, nature sounds like rain, valleys, and waves
· Mantras to calm the mind
· Sleep music to play before falling asleep
· 3-6 minute meditations to listen to when you feel anxious, angry, or having trouble making decisions
6. Find a Temple Stay 🏯
Browse temples and Temple Stay programs nationwide, and if you find a place you like, go directly to the reservation page.
