About this app

If you were constantly checking on someone you like, touching them every time and not letting them sleep, they would probably pass a restraining order right ?

That's the tagline for LessPhone, A Restraining Order from Your Phone.

Phones are a major time sink. Yep that's the truth. I literally spend more than 5 hours on my phone so I'm not judging. We swipe, tag, like, share and do all sorts of things that we think matters but doesn't.

We wake up with our Phones, go to bathroom with it, eat food with it, wait in line with it, get on bus with it, work with it, get back on bus with it. Just think isn't it enough to be addicted ?

Enter LessPhone, It's an Android Launcher that doesn't let you do anything. Yep you read it right.

LessPhone has Phone Calls and Directions. It also has a Task Manager built in, so you can get your tasks in order. That's about it, no more access to your Social Media, your other media, your swiping and everything.

So that means You can spend your time with your Friends and Family and the people that matter, rather than pieces of code engineered to hook you in.

This app has changed my relationship with my phone for better. I'm grateful it was created. I was considering getting a Lightphone, but felt that giving up apps like Maps and Uber could put me in unsafe situations. This solved that problem perfectly! The one thing I wish LessPhone did was add the option for the user to edit the app NAMES that appear on the home screen. It would simplify things even further to be able to rename my RSS reader app "News," my Firefox app "Browser," etc. Thanks!

it's incredible for what it is, but my only gripe (which I'm sure theres no way to fix) is that workarounds are very easy. I have bixby on my phone and I cant turn it off, or I can just check a menu item to go back to normal. I dont expect there is anything that can be done, but it does make the app less useful for people with no self control like myself.

Excellent app, was happy to pay for paid version! However, a couple recommendations: First, there must be a way to filter notifications. Necessary for not only productivity, but making the concept of this launcher work. If you're getting a bunch of notifications from Discord or whatever, it won't matter if it's on your homepage. Maybe there could be an out-of-the-way place to access notifications when you aren't busy. Second, there's got to be a way of accessing other apps in a pinch. Thanks!
