About this app

Don't let your phone interrupt you when it should be quiet. That's rude! With Polite, your phone will automatically go into silent mode (or vibrate mode) at the right times. You can choose specific times in your weekly schedule to automatically enter silent mode. You can also have your phone enter silent mode during calendar events in your calendar app. You can even enter keywords such as "meeting" and Polite will silence your phone whenever you have a calendar event with that keyword in the event title (e.g. "Meeting with manager"). It's time to teach your phone some manners!

Features
• Create rules to automatically switch to vibrate mode or silent mode
• Schedule Rules will silence your phone at a specific time in your weekly schedule
• Calendar Rules will silence your phone during calendar events
• Match all events in your calendar or match specific events based on keywords in the event title or description
• Match busy events only

It has an intuitive interface and worked pretty well on a previous Samsung S10e phone, but on my Samsung S25 the app doesn't always start/silence when I have an event scheduled (I believe this is rare), and frequently doesn't end when the event ends, so my phone remains in vibrate mode for hours when it should be heard. That means it can't be relied upon so I'm looking for an alternative. If this is a permissions or settings issue, I'd like to hear from the developers how to fix it.

**Update: Now sometimes it would just randomly not work until I manually launch the app. I would be at work when my phone is scheduled to be silent then all of a sudden hear notifications... I have battery settings to never go into battery saving, I have android settings to allow to run in background, all of that.** Works like a charm and not too bloated of an app. Please keep it simple like the way it is and don't make it too complicated and fancy like the other apps out there...

Good and love the ability to use calendar events for silencing, but the biggest drawback here is it is missing a "quick quiet" option. There needs to be a widget or at least a way in the app itself that you can manually and quickly silence your phone temporarily with the option to set the length of time for it to stay silent before automatically returning the phone to sound mode.
