TOWER is a professional remote assistance service for blind and visually impaired people, as well as for people with learning disabilities. You receive support in your daily life via a secure video and audio connection – at eye level, individually from a professional assistant. Whether you need help with orientation, want to adjust your coffee machine, have something read to you, or need a description: Our trained team of assistants is there for you.
How does the TOWER app work?
After installation, enter your name and email address, and you're ready to go. When you make a call, you'll be connected directly to an assistant. The audio and camera image from your smartphone will be transmitted. If you wish, your location can also be shared via GPS – you decide. We only provide support where you want and how you want.
How much does TOWER cost, and do I need a credit card?
Using TOWER is free. You don't need to provide a credit card or store any payment information. If we offer certain paid services, for example, for frequent or particularly long appointment requests, you must explicitly book them in advance via our website. There are no hidden or additional costs.
What can you use TOWER for?
You can use TOWER, for example, to get your bearings in the city, find a specific building or restaurant, adjust a device, or have clothing described. We are also happy to help you sort your shopping or take and send photos – always tailored to your needs and situation.
When is TOWER available?
Our regular opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. We also offer the option of scheduling individual appointments – Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you are planning a trip, for example, you can write to us in advance and arrange a fixed appointment. From November 10th, we will be happy to assist you. We are extending our regular opening hours to Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The option to schedule individual appointments remains available.

Yes, of course. You don't need to have a specific request. If you'd like, we can simply make a test call together and show you how everything works. This way, you can try out TOWER without obligation – in a way that works for you.
