WhereYouGo is an unofficial client for Wherigo Geocaching. It displays online and offline vector maps using Mapsforge library, alternatively Locus can be used to display maps.

Notice:
- Savegames from version 0.6.0 and lower are not compatible with current version.
- Version 0.6.0 can be downloaded here: https://android-whereyougo.googlecode.com/files/0.6.0.apk
- Cartridges are downloadable from http://www.wherigo.com, use version "Pocket PC Device".
- If you don't use the built-in download function, place the cartridges into your specified Wherigo folder (default "sdcard/WhereYouGo")

Functions:
- Wherigo client
- Download cartridges (user needs to fill login credentials in Settings, browse to desired wherigo via Web Browser and select open in WhereYouGo)
- Automatic game saving when user switches to another application
- Online maps
- Offline vector maps (downloadable e.g. here http://download.mapsforge.org/ or http://osm.paws.cz/ or http://www.openandromaps.org/)
- Alternatively Locus can be used to display maps http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=menion.android.locus
- Displays objects on map, including labels and zone borders
- Vector maps display moving objects (Locus does not)
- Compass
- Translated into many languages (some parts may be untranslated or contain mistakes, if you'd like to contribute with a better translation, please contact me via e-mail :)

Unreliable Started a cartridge and after a while the app would reset itself and go into "simulation" mode. There was no way to restart at the position where it failed. This is a waste of time and very frustrating.

Worked somewhat I have used this for three separate cartridges. First two cartridges I was able to get to final location but neither saved the final stage or the confirmation/completion code so I could log it as found. The third cartridge failed as I was searching for the third stage and reverted back to telling me to go to the 2nd... I finally gave up m because it had gotten dark out and wasn't necessary for the completion of my challenge.

Awful Was working on a cartridge for an hour. The app closed. I reloaded it and loaded the saved game, but there were no locations anymore. I can't do anything without restarting the entire thing!! What a waste of time!

gets the location totally wrong Maybe I'm doing something wrong - I load in a cartridge located at N40 39.*** W074 14.*** and when I select START it lists the start at N40 41.*** and S 74 14.*** - 6,609 km away so obviously I can't navigate the cartridge. HELP!

I have built over 100 WIGO's and this app works great. Been using this app for over a year and I'm real happy with the progress with the development. Update: 6/27/2015 - You can no longer download cartridges via the application. Errors out. I hope this gets fixed quick.

Great app! I'm using this app for two years now for occasional wherigo caches and so far never had any problem ever with it. It's simple app which does it's job marvellously.

Core functionality is there I'm having issues calling some WherIGo functions from my cart, but the main builder functionality is there and it seldom has issues, even with my worst carts.

Used this app with a LG L41C Ultimate 2 tracphone. The app downloaded and set up well, and we just finished our first whereigo cache and the phone and app worked perfect, except it failed to save the file and there doesn't appear to be a upload button to post the saved game to the whereigo website.

Bugged Sometimes it resets your wherigo and your stuck redoing it from the beginning. Very unfortunate. It has been over a year since an update. I think this app has been abandoned.

Used to work I seriously wish this did not require an SD card to work. My current phone doesn't have one, and the app no longer downloads cartridges. Please fix this.

New review you should have left it alone So far it works I was able to get the cart downloaded using Firefox mobile and the market app download all files works good in the field so far thanks 5/19/14 I am changing my review what the heck did you guys do zones are showing up 400 ft from where they are supposed to be the gps turns on and off at will why did you mess with it?

Working well for me. had initial problems downloading a cartridge but it turned out my login information wasn't entered. managed to complete a 10 stage WIG however the code included in the cartridge doesn't unlock and I cannot find the GWS file. things i noticed are unless you exit the app with the back arrow the gps will continue running in the background. For me the maps worked perfectly, I had satellite which made it super easy to get to each stage. I am now up to 4 WIGs and that is pretty cool. would be nice if there was an upload function to upload the cartridge gws or to enter the unlock code. thanks again for your hard work on this app! I really appreciate it.

Wont Create the GWS file or generate the unlock code I used it today to play a cartridge. It worked just file until I finished. The app never displayed the unlock code or created the GWS file that is needed to upload to unlock the cartridge on the Wherigo site

Unusable The interface to get started is not intuitive, but in the end, I got the cartridges loaded. However, for some reason, the longitude is displaying in south and latitude in north, putting me 30000km from the cache. I think that would put me somewhere in high earth orbit. Make an app that can read GPS before going past the basics.

What happened??? I used this app about a year ago and it worked great. Came to use it again today and I can no longer see the map. Have tried a few different map providers but not offline. Is this a bug or I'm I doing something wrong?

Terrible I wish I could give this app negative stars. When I downloaded some cartridges from the website I had to spend an hour figuring out how to move them into the emulate folder on the SD card and once I got them there the app still doesn't recognize that they're there. Why in the world wouldn't it download straight into the proper app folder so that the app can access the cartridges with a minimum of fuss? I give up, I'm uninstalling this.

Velmi dobré Po změnách je aplikace velmi dobrá, jenom by bylo lepší, kdyby když nemáš vybranou žádnou mapu, tak tam dát alespoň tu z locusu, ale to nic nemění na hodnocení a můžeme být rádi, že vůbec někoho máme, kdo nám tu aplikaci udělal.

Usable in KitKat without SD card. Motorola recently pushed out KitKat to my phone. I thought I would give this app another try after it wouldn't work without an SD card. Apparently KitKat is better at emulating SD cards on the internal storage as I was able to get it to load and load a cartridge. I will rerate again when I have a chance to try one out.
