MeterWorx is the field companion for water-utility meter exchange and retrofit programs. Technicians see the jobs assigned to them, capture the evidence the utility requires, and move on — with or without a signal.
BUILT FOR THE ROUTE
• See your assigned work orders with address, account and meter details
• Guided capture that follows the job type, so nothing gets missed
• Scan or type meter and radio serials, checked against inventory as you go
• Record the final read, the removed meter, the new meter and the new endpoint
• Capture before, reading, removal, radio, activation and after photos
• Record GPS at the meter so the office can verify where the work happened
• Can't complete a job? Record a reason — no access, dog on property, wrong meter found, customer refused — and keep moving
WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL
Meter pits are in basements, crawl spaces and rural yards. MeterWorx keeps working when the network doesn't. Your work orders are cached on the device, completed jobs and photos queue locally, and everything uploads automatically the moment you reconnect. Nothing is lost if you finish a job with no bars.
ACCURATE BY DEFAULT
Serial checks against live inventory catch the wrong meter before it's installed, not weeks later in an audit. Meter size is filled in from the inventory record. Photos and GPS are attached to the completion itself, so the office sees exactly what the technician saw.
FOR UTILITIES AND INSTALLERS
MeterWorx pairs with the MeterWorx office portal, where dispatchers assign routes, review completed work, approve or reject jobs, and export to the utility's billing system.
ACCOUNTS
MeterWorx is a business tool. Accounts are provisioned by the utility or installation company that licenses it — there is no public sign-up, and the app is not useful without an account issued by your employer.
PERMISSIONS
• Camera — meter and site photos, and barcode scanning
• Location (while in use) — records where a meter read was captured. MeterWorx never collects location in the background and does not track staff between jobs.
Meter exchanges captured on the route: photos, GPS and readings, even offline.
