Plakoto is one of three backgammon games popular in Greece (Πλακωτο). The other two are Fevga and Portes. The three games together are called Tavli.
Plakoto is also played in Bulgaria where it is known as Tapa and in Middle East where it known as Mahbouseh, محبوسة, Mahbuse.

Excellent. Only quibble, as others have mentioned, it is too easy to make a physical mistake entering your moves, making an unintended move that ruins your game. Perhaps an "Accept move?" button?

Thanks, Edward, for suggestion, we thing about it. This button have one bad side effect, game becomes very slow for user, user as usual don't make many mistakes, but we agree that user may choice if it would available ;)
