SteigtUM Routing is an innovative urban mobility app that combines public transport with shared cargo bikes. Developed as part of the SteigtUM research project, the app offers users a cost-effective, easily available and environmentally friendly alternative to the car. By combining different modes of transport, the envisaged overall system enables individual, emission-free mobility and increases the flexibility of public transport. The multi-stage real laboratory in the city of Freiberg accompanies the development of the app and the overall system in terms of functionality, flexibility, acceptance and user-friendliness.
