About this app

The SantanderSign app is used to release orders from online banking for Santander customers in Germany. Transactions made in online banking or with the mobile banking app are displayed in the SantanderSign app as a transaction to be released and can be released using fingerprints, facial recognition or by entering a personal password. Download the SantanderSign app and the mobile banking app onto your smartphone and be flexible in carrying out your banking transactions on the go. You need your online banking access data to activate it.

The double verification of your mobile banking transactions is for your own security and was considered to be absolutely necessary due to the PSD2 regulation (European Payment Services Directive) of September 2019. This directive is mandatory for banks in the EU.

NOTE: We recommend using Google Chrome as the browser to activate SantanderSign.

Edit 30/11/2023: 7 months later and still no fix. Bit incredible really. I've gone through the FAQ as has been suggested & nix. Tried to install on a new device, the app is stuck in a loop. I can only agree with the other negative reviews. You try to start the registration process and the link it sends navigates you to the play store, asking you to download the app, and then the whole process begins again. I've tried this on both Firefox and Chrome and I'm stuck in a loop. Very disappointed.

This is the most frustrating app. Half the time it doesn't work, I am there seeing the transaction but when I press it to confirm nothing happens. It has a 5 minute timer and I often have to reload my banking page and fill out the same information multiple times for a simple transaction that turns what should be a 1 minute process into a 10 minute + saga. I have tried force stopping the app and starting it again to no avail, I do not recommend 😐

Very bad UX. When sign is needed it shows in the app but it does not open the authorization Dialog when clicking on it. Push Notifications are the only way to get to the Dialog but they dont come in time for the timeout in many cases. This has been going on for half a year now... Due to this i will search for another credit card with a functioning app.
