Independent and unbiased search results
Mojeek is a crawler based search engine with its very own index of web pages, so we are not reliant on any other engine to produce our results. Mojeek doesn't have an agenda because we believe it’s a search engine’s job to provide you with relevant search results, not to force a point of view on you.

Search that doesn’t follow you around
Mojeek was the first search engine ever to state that it doesn't track its users, and we've been committed to privacy ever since. This means Mojeek does not possess any identifying information on you, such as IP addresses, search history or click behaviour. That's because we think it’s your right to search the web without someone following you around.

Search technology created from the ground up
When you do a search on Mojeek, the results shown have been generated by our own algorithm, from our own database of web pages, which was crawled and made searchable by our own technology.

Hosted in the UK’s Greenest Data Centre
As a search engine, our servers need to be connected 24/7 and use more power than most, so our responsibility to minimise our footprint on the environment is something we believe to be very important. This is a key reason why we chose Custodian to host and run our servers, as a winner of the 'Green Data Centre' accolade at the Datacentre Leaders Awards.

What the heck happened here? This app is pretty incomplete: no settings, no customization, no way to exclude results, news is forced to show on the search page (forcing news is a form of torture), website indexing is very poor and results are nearly useless in most cases, clicking Next just makes all the results disappear sometimes. This basic prototype for a mobile app wasn't released, it escaped. Y'all should save some dignity and take this off the Google Play Store.

I like that Mojeek is a real alternative search engine. For this reason I will use it hoping it improves. I don't like that there's no dark mode and no options for news results or timed result(ex. Past hour, 24 hours, 1 month, etc.).

Just installed this because of the news that Duckduckgo is now manipulating search results. What a disapointment. I'm giving this a tenative three stars in good faith that it is what it says it is. Truth is so hard to come by these days. I'd love to see this upgraded with fullblown browser features. It has the potentail of being a five star app. Good luck to the developers at Mojeek.
