About this app

The mobile app "Reconciliation: A Starting Point" is a reference tool for learning about First Nations, Inuit and MĂ©tis Peoples, which includes key historical events and examples of reconciliation initiatives. Users will learn why reconciliation matters and what public servants need to know and do to advance reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples in Canada.

The content of this app was created and compiled by the Canada School of Public Service, with contributions from Indigenous and non-Indigenous people from across the federal government, and technical expertise from National Defence's Canadian ADL Lab on the app development.

Not the greatest content. Just as an example, the video titled "The 10 Principles at Work at Justice Canada" were Mr. Diar provides a statement. The problem is it's not very professional: no emotion, poor vocal variety and constantly pausing with "um" and "ah". For an app that's potentially going to be views by millions of Canadians, why not take the time to do it right? Especially something as important as this. Perhaps this is why reconciliation hasn't really gone anywhere!

I'm so happy that this app was created. It is a beautiful symbol of hope, compassion, love, and another step closer to a new amazing golden age that is going to eclipse the past golden age, because this time humanity will truly become a united species, and that kind of energy is going to take us to our next level of evolution, I can't wait to everyone become their truest inner potential đź’–đź’– humanity has been blocking themselves through ignorance and negativity, obsessed with power and control.

As an introduction, this is a good overview. The CSPS Indigenous Learning Series has much more in depth information.
