About this game

Towers is a real-time strategy game about supply lines. Every tower you own
produces a steady stream of units, and you decide where that stream goes by
dragging a line from one tower to another. Point it at a neutral or enemy tower
to take it. Point it at your own to build it up. There is no build menu, no
economy screen and nothing to queue: the board is the whole interface.

HOW A MATCH WORKS

- Drag from a tower you own to any other tower to open a supply line. Swipe
across your own line to cut it.
- Units take time to travel, so a long line is a slow line. Two lines drawn
along the same edge meet in the middle and cancel out.
- Towers grow as friendly units arrive. Level 1 feeds one line, level 2 two,
level 3 three, so developing a tower means routing your other towers into it.
- Archer towers shoot down hostile units flying past. Their range and rate grow
with their level, and a developed one denies a whole corridor. An unclaimed
one fires on everybody, including the line sent to take it.
- The last side standing wins.

PLAY TOGETHER, OR ALONE

- Up to four players in one room. Share the six-digit code, or open the room to
your friends and let them join from their list.
- Team up. Allies never fight: their units pass through each other, and a line
into an ally's tower reinforces it instead of attacking.
- Fill the empty seats with bots at three difficulty levels, or start a quick
battle against one straight from the menu.

SUPERPOWERS, IF YOU WANT THEM

Storm drops bolts over an area and can knock a tower all the way back to
neutral. Sabotage stops an enemy tower producing. Short circuit severs an enemy
line and locks the tower it came from. Forced march doubles one of your own
towers' output, and lifts a sabotage that is already on it. Each costs coins
earned by holding developed towers, so casting is a budget rather than a button,
and the host can switch all of it off before the match starts.

AFTER THE MATCH

Every finished game is stored as the log of moves that produced it, so it plays
back exactly as it happened rather than as an approximation, and the link can be
shared with anyone who has an account.

AN ACCOUNT IS OPTIONAL

Play as a guest with no sign-up at all: pick a name, pick a colour, start. An
account adds a nickname nobody else can take, career statistics, a friends list
that shows who is sitting in a lobby right now, and replays of your own matches.

- No ads.
- No in-app purchases.
- No cookies and no tracking of any kind.
- The same game runs in any browser at towers.ms, so not everyone at your table
needs the app.
