About this app

TraxDriver is the digital logbook for drivers of federal motor carriers in Mexico. It replaces the paper format with an automated record that complies with NOM-087-SCT-2-2017 and the mandatory fields of Article 83 of the Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.

The app is designed for drivers on the road: large buttons, high contrast for sunlight, dark mode for night driving, and full functionality without a signal.

AUTOMATIC TIME RECORDING
- One-touch stopwatch that continuously records driving time
- Four activity states: driving, pause, other activities, and off duty
- Each state change saves the exact time and location
- Initial and final mileage calculated from the route

NOM-087 COMPLIANCE ALERTS
- Warning at 4:45 hours of continuous driving: mandatory 15-minute break
- Audible and vibration alert after 5:00 hours of continuous driving
- 30-minute mandatory break timer
- Warning upon reaching 13:30 hours of accumulated driving time
- Automatic lock upon reaching 14:00 hours in a 24-hour period
- Validation of the 8-hour continuous rest period before starting a new trip

OFFICIAL PDF LOG
- Generates the log with pre-filled required fields
- Driver's digital signature on screen
- QR code with unique serial number For verification
- Shared via email or WhatsApp and available for presentation to authorities

DOCUMENT CONTROL
- Alerts for federal license and medical certificate expiration
- Notifications 30, 15, and 7 days before expiration
- Trip start blocking with an expired license

EXCEPTIONAL CASES
- Recording of accidents, breakdowns, or traffic stops
- Photographic evidence with time and location

LOCATION USE
TraxDriver collects location data to record the route, mileage, and the exact point where each break and activity change occurs, even when the app is closed or not in use. Without this continuous record, the log cannot be admissible to authorities, as regulations require evidence of where and when breaks were taken. Location data is not used for advertising or shared with third parties: it is only accessible to the permit holder for whom the driver works.

ACCESS
TraxDriver is a business-use tool. Access requires an employee number and password provided by the permit holder. Individual registration is not possible.
