About this app
This application was developed by Dr. Norma Rivera Fernández and Dr. Paola García Dávila from the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology, UNAM School of Medicine. Project carried out with funds from the PAPIME DGAPA UNAM PE201518 project.
To use the augmented reality part (app version 1.1.0) it is necessary to download and print the augmented reality marker in the following link:

ArtromedUNAM is an application that contains didactic material in augmented reality for the study of arthropods of medical importance that are included in the thematic unit of Parasitology of the subject of Microbiology and Parasitology of the second year of the career of Surgeon, Faculty of Medicine, UNAM. It includes information regarding the generalities of parasitosis or poisonings, arthropod morphology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis, treatment and control. It should only be used as a study tool to reinforce the knowledge acquired in class since the information included in the application is only a summary of the chair of each arthropod. The student will be able to interact with 3D models of arthropods, as well as observe the most characteristic lesions that these produce in the patient. The appearance of this information in augmented reality mode is through the recognition of printed markers whose images are included in the publication stores. The topics included in the app are: Loxocelism, latrodectism, scorpionism, misasis due to Dermatobia hominis, pediculosis and scabies. These conditions are mostly medical emergencies, so the general public should understand that the content presented in this application is only for informational purposes and designed for medical students, so you should consult a specialist doctor and assist to a health center when any of these conditions are suffered.
