It is a diary where you start with just one line a day. And you can retrieve those records in their entirety as a single file.
■ It won't be lost even if you change phones
The most frustrating thing about diary apps is losing years' worth of records.
Nalgi exports your entire diary and photos into a single zip file. If you open that file on a new phone, everything returns exactly as it was.
There are no accounts or cloud storage — there is no chance of a backup failing because the login server stopped working.
The entries.json file inside is simply readable text. It won't hold you back even if you want to move it to another app.
■ Photos remain in the diary
Many apps simply refer to photos as "that photo in the gallery."
Then, after deleting the app or cleaning up the original files, the photo section in the diary becomes blank.
Nalgi copies selected photos into the app. The photos are also included in the exported file.
■ There is no title field
If it says "Start with one line a day" but then asks for a title, you end up giving up before you even start writing.
The date serves as the title, and the first sentence appears in the list. It is okay to write just one line.
■ It is a list, not a calendar
If the first screen is a calendar, you see blank spaces for unwritten days first. That is a common reason for deleting diary apps.
Nalgi only shows what you have written. It does not count missed days.
■ Last Year Today
If there is a entry written on the same day a year ago, it appears at the very top of the list.
It does not rush you with notifications — a diary is a record that becomes burdensome the more you rush it. It is there when you open it.
■ You can choose to select a mood or not
Press one of the five dots to keep the color for that day, and press it again to delete it.
If it is a day you find difficult to describe, you can simply choose not to select it.
■ Search
Search across all months using the words you wrote. You don't have to remember when you wrote it.

· Photos are selected using the Android photo picker. It does not require full gallery access.
· The diary stays only on this device. The only thing that goes to the internet is advertisements.
· Rewind overwrites the current diary entry. It is safer to send it out first.
