The wellbeing holiday in the Marche
Parks and nature reserves make up 10% of the regional area: the National Park of the Sibillini Mountains and the four regional parks: Monte Conero on the sea; Sasso Simone and Simoncello; Monte San Bartolo on the sea; and Gola della Rossa and Frasassi are certified according to the principles of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism. In addition to the parks you can explore the six stunning nature reserves (Abbadia di Fiastra, Montagna di Torricchio, Ripa Bianca, Sentina on the sea, Gola del Furlo and Monte San Vicino and Monte Canfaito).
In the Marche, contact with nature becomes a wonderful opportunity to play sports all year round, from winter sports to adventurous ones such as canoeing, kayaking, rafting, hang gliding, caving and canyoning. There are also wide spaces for cycling, golf and horse-riding. Along the coast you can enjoy sailing and many other water-sports. The CEA - environmental education centres - located in parks and other sites in the area, organize activities and events throughout the year, such as the numerous educational farms.
The beauty of the Marche promotes self-knowledge and the pursuit of wellbeing, regenerating your body and spirit. Thermal spas, wellbeing centres and retreats for oriental disciplines - to increase physical and spiritual balance - are available in the area.
