Mary Anne Charity Trust - MACT, India is a pioneering organization in Tamil Nadu working for tobacco control among the community. MACT works actively in the advocacy of change in policies related to tobacco, the cause of almost 8-9 lakh deaths in India, each year. Among its many programmes MACT also sensitizes children against the ill effects of Tobacco through Children against Tobacco (CAT). This programme aims at making the young minds understand the Tobacco’s ill effects and facilitate an environment where they grow up without falling prey to it.
The CAT mobile application has been created so that children and adults who would like to be part of CAT can register themselves. Also guidance to CAT activities and CAT Day Out will be available in the application.
