About this app

"AtomSnap" is a fun way for elementary school students (first grade and up) to learn about elements.

By taking a picture of an object around them with the camera or selecting a photo from their device, the system analyzes the elements it is thought to contain. Up to five of the elements found can be added to a collection, and their names and characteristics can be viewed in a 118-element periodic table.

In the "Synthesis Lab," users can try creating molecules and compounds by connecting the collected elements. The "Element Lab" also offers a fun way to explore the properties of elements and their connections to the everyday world through picture-story shows and mini-games.

[For Parents/Guardians]
Element analysis uses encrypted communication to send the captured or selected image to a server, utilizing an external AI service. The image itself is not stored in our database. The analyzed images and results, encyclopedia, history, and mission progress are saved on your device. You can delete history, device data, anonymous accounts, and associated online records from the settings. Do not use images containing personal information, and children should use the app under parental supervision.

If you wish to continue enjoying the app beyond the free tier, you can opt for the optional "AtomSnap Premium." This is a one-time purchase (not a subscription) that adds 500 successful elemental analyses and unlocks Mission 2 and beyond in the Element Lab and Synthesis Lab. A parental confirmation screen will be displayed before purchase. After reinstallation, you can restore your purchase status using the same Apple or Google store account used for the original purchase. Device data such as the encyclopedia, history, and mission progress will not be restored. Cross-platform purchase restoration is not guaranteed.
