About this app

Anychord turns a recording into chords you can play along with.

Paste a YouTube link or type a song title. Anychord listens to the
recording, works out which chord is sounding at every moment, and lays
them out in time — with a guitar diagram for each one.

HOW IT WORKS

The audio goes through a neural network trained on recordings, which
estimates for every moment which chord is sounding. What comes back is a
list of chords with a start and an end — the same thing you would get by
ear, only faster.

The display is built for playing along: a large diagram of the current
chord and a lane sliding past the playhead so you can see what is
coming.

GUITAR TUNER

The tuner listens through your microphone and tells you which string it
hears and how far off it is, in cents. Audio is processed on your device
and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.

PLAYBACK

Songs play through the official YouTube player inside the app. Anychord
does not download, store or redistribute videos, and it is not
affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.

HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS

The chords are an estimate. Complex arrangements can throw it off, so
check by ear before you write them down.

Anychord is supported by ads. Every second song asks for a short video,
which is what keeps it free and without an account.
