About this app

BibleBook puts the whole Bible on your phone, with the tools to read it closely and the quiet to read it well. Everything is on the device: no connection is needed to read, search or study.

FOUR TRANSLATIONS, ALL OFFLINE
• Berean Standard Bible (BSB): clear modern English
• King James Version (KJV), the 1769 text
• World English Bible (WEB), with the words of Jesus in red
• American Standard Version (ASV)
All four are in the public domain. Read two side by side, verse by verse, or compare one verse in every translation.

READ
• Swipe from chapter to chapter through all 1,189
• Paragraphs and poetry as printed, or one verse per line
• Footnotes, section headings and verse numbers, each can be turned off
• Typefaces: Garamond, Literata, Atkinson Hyperlegible or your phone's own
• Text size, line spacing, and Paper, Sepia, Dark or Black pages
• The words of Jesus in red, or not, as you prefer
• On tablets and foldables, your list beside the open Bible

STUDY
• Search every word of all four translations, or jump straight to a reference like "jn 3:16"
• Cross-references for each verse from the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
• Word study for the KJV: tap a word to see the Hebrew or Greek behind it (Strong's Concordance)
• An introduction to each book: summary, author and date, themes, outline and key verses
• Chapter outlines
• Verses gathered by topic, for comfort, hope, faith, family and wise living

EVERY DAY
• A verse of the day, the same one on biblebook.net
• Reading plans: the Bible in a year or two years, the New Testament in 90 days, the life of Jesus in 40 days, and Psalms and Proverbs in a month
• Your reading streak and the chapters you have read
• A daily verse reminder at the time you choose (optional)
• A home screen widget with today's verse

KEEP WHAT MATTERS
• Highlight verses in five colors
• Bookmarks, and notes on any verse
• Search your own notes, highlights and bookmarks
• Recent reading, so you can pick up where you left off
• Share a verse as text, or as a picture with the verse set in Garamond

LISTEN
Read aloud uses your phone's own voice. It reads verse by verse, shows the verse being read, keeps going with the screen off, and carries on into the next chapter. Pause or skip from the lock screen or your headphones, and set a sleep timer for reading at night.
