New books, new happiness! The book culture magazine provides independent and competent information every two months on all areas of literary life. In addition to portraits and interviews with authors, as well as competently researched background stories related to the book industry, you will find numerous reviews in Book Culture on new literary publications from fiction, non-fiction, crime fiction, audio books, poetry, illustrated books and children's and young people's books. Book culture is an offer for all those in German-speaking countries who are passionate about reading books and working with them and who value clear positions such as critical and profiled commentary.

The first issue of Buchkultur magazine appeared in 1989. It was the year of the German opening of the border - the fall of the Berlin Wall - and the associated change in world political events, the first love parade, the first private broadcaster in German-speaking countries. An eventful year! Crossing borders has shaped this time. This was also one of the basic ideas when book culture was founded in the same year. The founders at the time wanted to be independent, express their opinions, find new things. And that has remained the same until today, 30 years later and with the current team.
