Charge HQ is a smart EV charging app for your home. It supports either a Tesla vehicle or a smart charger (OCPP compliant). For details see https://chargehq.net/

Features include:

- solar tracking - divert your excess solar to your EV instead of the grid (requires supported inverter - see the web site)
- charge your home battery before your EV, or vice-versa
- scheduled charging
- detailed charging history, including a breakdown of how much energy came from solar vs the grid
- monitor and control charging from the app
- automatic start and stop charging based on wholesale electricity price (Amber Electric or AEMO spot price - Australia only)
- start and stop based on grid renewables level (Australia only)

Charge HQ does not require any additional hardware - it runs in the cloud and connects to your existing equipment. Please check the web site to determine if your equipment is supported.

Ratings and reviews

This app is simple, basic, and perfect- it lets you schedule when your car starts and stops charging. The Tesla app won't do this, and the only apps that do charge expensive monthly rates and give you lots of statistics, bells and whistles. If you need to simply charge your car at a scheduled time, this is it. I had a problem originally where some outside app was interfering with my scheduling and their tech support had me create a new API key, which solved the issue. Great app, great support!

Great app that has very useful features for solar tracking and even charging . Unfortunately unless you have some weird power set up with super high rates, there is no way to justify the cost of the app, I will never save more than it costs. If money is no object and you want to use it for emission reduction purposes it help a bit. Back to watching the sun and turning on and off the car charging via the car app for me.

Fantastic app. Makes charging a breeze. Well done. It would be awesome if the author would consider adding a feature where we could enter solar feedin price, grid per Kw price and average fuel price, then have some statistics about power savings and spend. Something similar to the way the tesla app shows but with more advanced information about additional saving from solar. All round a great app guys. 👌 Please don't introduce adds. I would happily pay a subscription fee.

What’s new

This update includes:
- data download feature: download your charging history in CSV format
- the ability to cancel a subscription from the app (allows annual subscriptions to be cancelled)
- Sungrow: allow European users to connect (allow connection by Communication Device S/N as well as Plant ID)
- remove erroneous Tesla vehicle schedule alerts
- avoid blank screen on My Plan screen
- other minor fixes
