CoPlayer plays the videos you already have — no converting first, and with the picture and the sound looked after.
▶ It doesn't mind the format
Two playback engines are built in: when the one that is tried first can't open a file, the other takes over. There is nothing to convert beforehand.
▶ Video on other machines, too
Play what is on a shared folder or a server at home (SMB, FTP, SFTP, WebDAV) without downloading it first. Add a NAS or a PC once and it opens under Servers like any other folder, so a large video never has to be moved onto the phone.
▶ Back where you left off
Resume playback remembers where each file stopped. What you watched last stays in the Played list, so there is no folder to go back through.
▶ Sound that suits late nights
Night mode narrows the gap between loud and quiet — peaks are tamed, whispers lifted. Dialogue boost brings back speech that gets buried when a 5.1 film plays through phone speakers.
▶ Watch even when there are no subtitles in your language
Subtitle translation takes the subtitles carried inside the video and translates them on this device. "With original" keeps both lines on screen, which also makes it a way to study a language. The subtitle text stays on the device. It is sent on to an outside translation service only when you register one yourself.
▶ The picture is redrawn while it plays
Shader enhancement redraws animation and low-resolution video with the GPU, so soft lines come back clean. The step is picked to match what your device can keep up with, and it moves up or down on its own during playback. Debanding takes the stair-step bands out of dark skies and shadows, and Sharpness tidies up soft footage.
▶ Skip quiet stretches
Moves quickly through the stretches with no speech in lectures and recorded talks. Nothing is taken out of the video — only the waiting.
▶ Carry on from another device
Connect a Google account and another device carries on from the same place.
Some features open once you buy Pro Kit. For the first 7 days after you install the app, every feature except syncing across devices is open to try.
