About this app

GPS101 is a real-time satellite dashboard that shows your device's GNSS reception at a glance: which satellites your phone is tracking, how strong their signals are, and how accurate your fix is — all on one screen.

■ Real-time satellite info
• GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo shown side by side
• Skyplot: satellite positions in the sky by azimuth and elevation
• Per-satellite signal strength (C/N0), frequency band (L1/L5) and whether it is used in the fix

■ Position, speed and altitude
• Live speed with session max/average and distance traveled
• Altitude above mean sea level (MSL) derived from NMEA data
• Course (true or magnetic north) and compass
• Coordinate formats: decimal degrees (DD), DMS, UTM, MGRS
• Horizontal/vertical accuracy, DOP and fix status

• GPS time, UTC, leap seconds, clock bias and drift

• Offline 3D globe with vector country and state borders — crisp at any zoom level
• Day/night terminator based on the real position of the sun
• Your track drawn as a past (blue) → present (red) gradient
• Tap a track point to see its time, speed and altitude
• No map tile downloads — works fully offline

■ Location history (optional)
• With your consent, positions are stored only in an encrypted database on your device
• Retention period setting (default 1 day) with automatic deletion
• Delete everything or withdraw consent at any time; export to a file supported

■ Privacy first
• Your location is never sent to any server — everything is processed on the device
• The map renders offline, so there are no location-related network requests
• No account, no ads
• Anonymous usage statistics (never including location) can be turned off in Settings

Do not use it for navigation, surveying, aviation, marine, emergency response or any other safety-critical purpose. Positioning accuracy varies with device, atmospheric conditions and terrain, and may be unavailable indoors.
