About this app

This is the child's half of ShowHaven — the screen your kid actually uses.
Set it up from the ShowHaven parent app on your phone; on its own, this app
shows nothing at all. That's the point: nothing appears here until you put
it there.

A kid's profile on your favorite streaming platform can be thousands of shows. ShowHaven is your hand-selected few. Your child sees one screen of big, tappable artwork — only the shows you approved from the streaming services your family already pays for: Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Paramount+, Peacock, Max. Tapping one opens it directly in that service's own app and plays it there. ShowHaven never plays, hosts or re-streams video itself.

BUILT FOR SMALL HANDS
• One grid, big tiles, nothing to scroll past. No menus to get lost in.
• Episode picker with big artwork — on supported services your child picks
the episode right here, and ShowHaven remembers what's next.
• Your child never signs in, never searches, never types. There is nothing
to browse, so there is nothing to stumble into.

PARENTS STAY IN CHARGE
• Everything on this screen was approved, one show at a time, in the
ShowHaven parent app. Changes reach this device within a couple of
minutes.
• Leaving is PIN-gated. "Ask to come out" lets your child request the exit
— your phone buzzes, you answer with one tap. A child who can ask doesn't
have to hunt for holes.
• With lockdown (Family plan), leaving the approved apps brings your child
straight back, and playback of anything unapproved is caught within
seconds.

HONEST ABOUT ENFORCEMENT
Some things Android does not let any app enforce — our website lists them
plainly rather than promising what can't be kept.

Requires the free ShowHaven parent app to set up, plus the streaming apps
and subscriptions you already have. ShowHaven opens them; it does not
replace them. Show artwork and metadata from TMDB — this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

What’s new

Max is now HBO Max, matching what you see in the app itself.

Under the hood: updated the build toolchain to the latest Android
tooling. No changes to how the grid, launching or lockdown behave —
this one is maintenance, so if nothing looks different, that is the
intended result.
