EDIT #2: Almost everything seems to work fine, however, the one thing that's still broke is the calendar date and the calendar itself does not auto update. When you make a new appointment, that seems to update after a few minutes, but the rest of it does not seem to update until you go into the app and force update it. It says it's updating every 30 minutes, but that's a lie.

To adjust the "look ahead time" open the CalWidget app itself, go to settings (the cogwheel at the top right). Then you should see it.
It's a global setting (together with the refresh time) so it's not in the per-widget settings itself. I'll add a shortcut there, too.

The best calendar widget lives on Absolutely indispensable, thank you so much for making compatible with Android 15+ closest thing I've found is Minimalist Calendar Widget by tj_apps but this is superior. I love this widget, it's incredible. please add ability to import and export widget settings.

I hear you!
New version is finally out that solves the compatibility problem.
Export+Import: difficult because you need to place the widgets by hand anyway. The app cannot place them for you. But I could export the settings of each widget and you could import them for each widget separately. It's on my todo list.

on Android 16 (Nothing CMF 2Pro) works fine. On my wife's Android 12 (Samsung S10+) actions changed and lost functionality. cannot open the whole calendar anymore, so cannot add calendar entries through this app. tapping event opens event only, tapping date opens settings only. developer responded very quickly to issues, and sounds like he knows what to do. Thanks. ... Today's updates work great. Thanks.

You are right, I need to explain more+better:
Tapping on
- the current date header at the very top: opens the config
- a day header like TODAY or TOMMOROW opens the calendar on that day
- an event: opens the event in the calendar
