ICT4Farmers is a mobile application that will help you manage your farm enterprises digitally with much simplicity.
The following are core features of the system
i. Enterprise management: To help the farmer create and manage their respective farm enterprises.
ii. Activity scheduling: To help the farmer schedule farm activities to be reminded
by the application.
iii. Farm workers monitoring: To help the farmer register their workers on the system, assign them farm activities and monitor their performance through submission of activity reports (production records).
iv. Production reports: To help the farmer keep their day-to-day farm records (Works like the famer’s diary book).
v. Financial records: To help the farmer keep their day-to-day farm income and expense so they can see if they are in profits or losses of their respective farm enterprises. (Works like the famer’s ledger book).
vi. Pest & disease control: To help a farmer learn about farm pests & diseases, insights as well as reporting pests’ cases (Farmer’s community).
vii. Market place: A section that helps the farmer to showcase their farm products as well as sourcing farm inputs (Farmer’s buy-and-sell).
viii. Resource sharing: To help the farmer share resources like tractors, pumps, farm services, etc. with other fellow farmers.
ix. Ask the expert: To help farmers ask burning questions to system experts and fellow farmers. (Farmers knowledge base)
x. Chatting system: Connects farmers who wants to buy or sell from each other.
xi. Call center: A toll free number for farmers to inquire about their farm queries in 5 different languages.
xii. Web-dashboard: A web application that helps a farmer to use the same system on a computer browser.
