About this app
The mission of the ASTRA Museum has been, for more than 100 years, to connect the audience with traditional values, by continuously adapting to the cultural needs of society. The mobile application is one of the digital tools through which the visitor is offered the opportunity to discover the tangible and intangible heritage in a self-guided way.
The ASTRA App Museum facilitates through the audio guide the access to information of the visitors, thus contributing to the improvement of the experience of visiting the objectives. Visitors have the opportunity to observe the sights while listening to the most interesting information about them. The photographs support the descriptions, providing a detailed overview of the households, both from an architectural point of view, as well as of the furniture and objects that are part of the whole household. The objectives pages indicate the position on the map of the navigable objectives. The pages of the households offer the possibility to the visitors to offer reviews of the preferred objectives or simply to share the lived experience.
The audio guide becomes an important tool in discovering the museum autonomously in the context of the current pandemic, visitors can listen to the descriptions on their own phone.
The mobile application provides both general information about the history of the museum, as well as valuable details about activities and services. With the help of the application you can find the fastest way to get to your destination and you can find out the price and how to buy tickets and season tickets. Also within the application you can find details about the museum's services, such as: guidance with the best museographers or alternative transport (with carriage, electric scooter, ...) or religious ceremonies.
"Near you" opens the map with the objectives and services of the museum. The filter will help you select only what interests you. Choose to see only households with audio tour, restaurants, event locations or the nearest social group.
The calendar of events presents the agenda of events organized by Monday. You can read the details of the events, the period in which they will take place, the place where they will take place and other information. The application offers the possibility to save the event in the phone calendar to receive notifications about it.
The activities dedicated to the general public or children are also presented in the application, highlighting the thematic routes and craft workshops. The application also has a section dedicated to news and current affairs. From here you can find details about the latest projects, the summary of the latest events or the change of the program.

A simple walk through the 96 hectares of the Museum of Traditional Popular Civilization ASTRA reveals to visitors an image of rural life throughout our country, materially manifested in over 400 houses, household annexes and technical installations.
