Explore magnetic fields with a beautifully crafted pocket instrument.
EMF Detector uses your device's magnetometer to display magnetic field strength in microteslas (µT). An animated analog dial, luminous digital display, and rolling trace bring the measurements to life in a detailed industrial-style panel.
READ THE FIELD
• See total field strength or select the signed X, Y, and Z components.
• Follow changes with the animated needle and recent-history trace.
• The orange PEAK marker shows the highest recorded strength for the selected axis.
• Use HOLD to freeze a reading and RESET to clear session peaks and history.
• Switch between 100, 500, and 2,000 µT dial ranges without changing the measured value.
• View calibration status from Android's calibrated magnetic sensor data.
HEAR AND FEEL THE INSTRUMENT
• An electrical hum changes pitch with the selected field's strength.
• Mechanical button sounds and tactile feedback give the controls a physical feel on supported Android devices.
• Mute the hum and button sounds with one control. Your choice is remembered.
MADE FOR ANDROID PHONES AND TABLETS
• A vertical instrument panel for phones and tablets, in portrait or landscape.
• An included field guide explains the readings, controls, and calibration.
• Clearly labeled demonstration mode lets you explore the instrument without live sensor data.
• No account, ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Readings stay on your device.
Live measurements require a device with a magnetometer. Slowly rotate and tilt the device to help Android calibrate it. Magnetic cases, chargers, nearby metal, and calibration can affect readings.
EMF Detector measures magnetic fields, not electric fields or radio-frequency radiation. It is not a calibrated safety instrument, wiring-fault detector, or paranormal detector. The hum represents field strength; it does not measure the field's physical frequency.
Requires Android 8.0 or later. Live readings require a magnetometer; demonstration mode is available on devices without one.
