Live Kanji is a Japanese OCR (Optical Character Recognition) App which is designed to be useful to Japanese language learners. It allows you to use the camera on your device to instantly translate Japanese words and individual Kanji to English and see their Japanese pronunciations.
Some features of Live Kanji include:
• Live Mode: translations and pronunciations in real time
• Still Mode: take a photo and then adjust the zoom, pan, and crop until you get just the right words selected
• Word Mode: translate whole Japanese words to English
• Kanji Mode: single Kanji meanings and pronunciations (kun-yomi and on-yomi)
• Open Image: import an image from your photo library or from another App
• Send: send the detected Japanese text to another app (dictionary, text editor, etc.)
• Copy: copy the Japanese text to your clipboard
• Detection Box: adjustable detection box allows you to select just the right area of the screen
• Zoom: pinch to zoom in on smaller text
• Supports both horizontal and vertical text
