About this app

This is a Anchor Watch application, it is very easy to use, you can simply active the app after you have dropped your anchor and prepared the boat. You don't have to know the exact coordinates of the anchor, you only need the bearing and the distance to your anchor, thats all.

Ratings and reviews

No alarm I have used the app for some time and really like how it works. Though recently it does not sound an alarm on my Samsung note 9 until i bring it to foreground. I disabled battery optimization for this app but this did not help. Unfortunately this renders the app useless

This is an okay app that has one significant flaw. When you drop your anchor the boat and the anchor are physically at the same geographic position. The app puts the boat where you say you drop the anchor and moves the anchor some random direction away from the boat using the length of chain and the depth of the water to figure out where to put the anchor on the display. While the display correctly shows your boat's position, The position of the anchor on the display is incorrect.

Better than most but that's a very, very low bar. The alarm doesn't go off if the app isn't on screen when I close the phone. Lots of settings that don't make any sense.
