The main reason I signed up for HelpScout was to consolidate ticketing and web chat into one. Seemed promising. But the very basic functionality of an app not having ANY notifications whatsoever when someone starts a chat or send a ticket, is a showstopper for me. Mobility is key, and if I have to sit in front of a computer to get notified of incoming requests because the app doesn't work, well, there are plenty of options out there I'll say that much. Unfortunate, very promising, but missed.

Hi Jon, thanks for the review. While we don't have chat available in our app at all currently it's something we are exploring for a future update. In terms of general email notifications you can receive those for specific events and are set in the web-app for Help Scout under your profile. Drop us an email if you have any other questions, Jon!

Horrible app! Constantly having to delete & re-download just to see customer videos. Will only show the same videos/photos over & over again. SO many other issues as well. I also never get notifications even though my notifications are turned on.

Terrible app, very buggy. Most of the time you tap on an Android notification it takes you to a blank white screen or says there is a mailbox error. Half the time if I actually get to the conversation I try to reply I get the same mailbox error. New version is no better. Always has mailbox member ID errors

What’s new
This release adds thread reactions to conversation threads — you can quick-react from the thread options menu, tap a reaction chip to toggle it, and long-press to see who reacted, with names and avatars kept in sync in real time.
SMS conversations now open in read-only mode, with replies disabled and a banner directing you to reply from the web.
