VoisIT by iSolveIT is the first ever mobile app to offer speech-to-text (ASR) service for Faroese.
Just press the button to record your voice. Then press again to let the model turn your speech into text. The app leverages 3 different A.I. models to transcribe, refine, and vocalize the texts.
The app is based upon the dataset from the project "Ravnur" (https://maltokni.fo/) and "Ravnursson" dataset (http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12537/276) and resulting models hosted on huggingface's APIs, trained at the University of ReykjavĂk, Iceland in 2022, by Carlos HernĂĄndez Mena.
