A complete English ⇄ Persian (Farsi) dictionary that works fully offline. After installation you never need a connection to look up a word.

■ Six dictionaries in one app
Every word shows results from several sources side by side:
• Persian meanings, over 291,000 entries
• English-to-English definitions for precise meaning
• Synonyms and related words
• Idioms and common phrases
• American and British pronunciation

■ Translate a photo
Point the camera at a sign, a menu, a book, a label or a screenshot and the writing in it is read and translated — English to Persian, or Persian to English. Choose a photo from your gallery instead if you prefer. Useful for travel, for studying, and for anything printed that is faster to photograph than to type.

■ Translate what you hear
Tap once, let someone speak, tap again. The recording is transcribed and translated, so a conversation with someone who does not share your language stays a conversation.

■ Learn the words you look up
Tap the heart on any word and it goes into a Leitner box: five boxes, at 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 days. A right answer moves a word up one box, a wrong answer sends it back to the first, and the home screen says how many cards are waiting.
• Cards are built from the dictionary itself — the meaning, the pronunciation, and where the dictionary has them, a real example and an idiom — so there is no deck to write
• Three starter lists of 60 words to begin from, easiest first: foundation (Konkur), intermediate (IELTS), advanced (TOEFL)
• A word of the day each morning, chosen from the same dictionary

■ Hear it spoken
Each word has two playback buttons: American and British accent, separately.

■ Smart translation, on your device
Type a sentence or a passage and see it translated, English to Persian and Persian to English. This one runs entirely on your own device, so it works with no connection and your text is never sent anywhere. A one-time download of about 60 MB enables it.

■ Simple search
Type in Persian or English — the app works out which. Results appear as you type, and recent lookups are kept. Persian words are found even when they only appear inside a definition, so searching «درخت» finds tree, arbor and timber.

■ No account needed
No sign-up, no login. Word search, saved words and smart translation all work offline. Photo and voice translation are the two features that use the internet, and the app asks before the first time.
