Discover the beauty and heritage of Stover Country Park, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve. Stover Country Park is one of two Country Parks managed by Devon County Council for the benefit of wildlife, recreation and the local community. The Country Park consists of 125 acres, with Stover Lake forming the central feature surrounded by marsh, woodland, heathland and grassland. The network of footpaths offers a wonderful opportunity to discover Stover’s heritage and wildlife.
This app features a range of interactive trails, from gentle walks around the lake to longer routes that explore the park’s outer reaches. You’ll find themed experiences including a Mindfulness Trail and a Young Explorers Trail, offering something for visitors of all ages.
Along the way, the trails highlight the birds, wildlife, and natural features to look out for, as well as the rich and fascinating history of the site.
A perfect companion for anyone wanting to make the most of their visit to Stover Country Park.
The app is GPS-enabled. This feature is used to show you relevant content based on your location. Note that you do not need to be in the park to access the app content with the exception of the Ted Hughes Poetry Trail content which can only be accessed when you are actually on the physical trail.
The app also optionally uses Location Services to determine your location when the app is running in the background. It will trigger notifications when you are close to a location of interest. However, as with all apps that use location, please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
