Upendrakishore Roy Chowdhury (183-1915) was born in the village of Masua in Katiadi upazila of the present Kishoreganj district of Mymensingh district in Bangladesh. He is an accomplished Bengali children's writer. His notable creations are the story of Tuntuni, Gupi Gain Bagha Bain, Becharam Kenaram etc.
