This application can be used as an Unicode explorer, or an advanced character picker.
Free as in beer, no spying, no adds, no in-app purchases :-)
The full version includes embedded fonts and extra support for Kanji characters (see full Unihan info and search the Unihan definition). This makes it (much) bigger than the lite version.
You can browse the full Unicode range, jump to Unicode code points or blocks of your choice, or search in character names.
For all characters you get the standard information in the Unicode Character Database (UCD).
Supports characters beyond Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP) and Emoji (including the color Emoji starting with Android 4.3).

Useless!. Your promo shows a pretty teal background color offering good contrast with characters. But when I download it, all that's shown is black characters on dark gray, an unreadable eye-straining arrangement. So I labeled it useless!

Sorry, I am unable to reproduce the problem.
I believe you, but for me it looks fine everywhere I tried it (including a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e).
It is not false advertising, just a bug.

It’s a great and useful app, but it has some errors. It can’t display some characters, such as U+23FB Power symbol. Also, sometimes the scrolling resets when removing something from favorites. Many apps have dark mode today, why not this one? I don’t think it would be too difficult to change the colors.

The glyph for the U+23FB character (and others) is missing in the Google fonts. I can't design glyphs for thousands of characters, I only can work with what is available.
Dark mode: working on it :-)
(actually, changing colors is trickier than it seems, if you want it to work on older devices)

Absolutely incredibly useful. My solitary complaint is that the search sometimes jumps around on account of the width of the side scroll bar. That said, it's not an impediment to the use of this app; it is a great utility.
