How To Start
1. Install DesktopSMS Lite on your Android phone.
2. Install DesktopSMS Client on your Windows PC.
3. Open both apps and pair your phone with your PC.
4. Your conversations will sync to the desktop app.
5. Start texting from your computer.

What Does “Lite” Mean?
DesktopSMS Lite works together with your default Android SMS app. It is not a replacement messaging app.

Because of Android system rules, only your default SMS app can fully manage your phone’s message store. DesktopSMS Lite can sync and send messages, but some actions, such as deleting messages or marking them as read, may not be available.

Ratings and reviews

I find this app to be superior to other desktop programs that allows me to text from my PC. I contacted the developer the day I installed his app and he replied very quickly. Other apps of this type (of which there are not that many) are more expensive to buy the premium versions and still don't offer the potential of what DesktopSMS has in store. I look forward to many new and helpful features in the future.

Great that it works over local connection with lots of options (wifi, bluetooth, usb). Texts are sent successfully but unfortunately are not logged on my mobile device, leaving gaps in the conversation history. Also, conversations on desktop seem to sync oldest to newest, making it take a while to catchup with the most recent contacts/texts.

Bluetooth function is not working for my PC/phone combo - unable to pair using the Client. Can pair using Windows, but that doesn't work for the Client. WiFi function is great, although some recipients of group texts complain that they never received the message. Not sure if that's an Android or carrier issue.
