The Tucum APP was born from the idea of ​​suspended coffee, a Neapolitan tradition that consists in offering a coffee at a bar to a friend or someone in need.
We believe that the culture of giving and sharing are the foundations for rebuilding a society that is weakened in values ​​and in the economy. This is why Tucum proposes itself as a tool for living charity in an innovative and more sustainable way.

MAIN AIMS OF THE TUCUM PROJECT

A. Accompany in a more discreet and safe way anyone who lives in conditions of extreme poverty (the Beneficiaries of the Project), abandoning the logic of the food package and offering them a particular card with NFC technology (contactless) with which it is possible to withdraw from the affiliated shops (Project Partner) what they really need: medicines, medical examination, food shopping, personal care, etc.

B. Countering the phenomenon of false poor and the begging racket;

C. Educate and empower the Beneficiaries who are called upon to pay a monthly contribution of € 2.00 to the institution they follow as a sign of participation in the aims of the Project.

D. Support the local economy of small businesses through the use of cards that can only be spent in the area where the Guarantor Body operates;

E. Support human promotion projects in Italy and in developing countries, in favor of non-profit organizations, Caritas and missions around the world;

F. Support start-up and job training through zero-rate microloans in favor of so-called "non-bankable" disadvantaged people.

HOW THE PROJECT WORKS

1. Donor users can donate via credit and prepaid cards starting from € 0.20. If you choose the OneClick payment method, the donation takes place in a few seconds.

2. Donors can choose the non-profit organization to support by previewing, in a clear and transparent way, the distribution of the donation.

3. Based on the amount of donations received and set aside for the Project, the Guarantor Body may assign the relevant Cards with preloaded credits to the Beneficiaries. The Beneficiary is not required to use a mobile phone;

4. The Cards have a chip that communicates with the APP and exchanges useful information to collect the products and services agreed by the Partners;

5. Cards do not contain money, but credits. They are personal and, at the time of use, the Partner's APP shows the corresponding photo associated with the Beneficiary to help identify them and combat any abuses;

6. In the event of abuse or other needs, the Entity can immediately suspend or permanently remove the Beneficiary's Card by simply touching the screen;

7. To collect the products, the Partner simply swipes the Card near the mobile phone (or frames the BarCode of the Card) and selects the products chosen by the Beneficiary. Only products deemed healthy (NO alcohol, NO tobacco) can be collected;

8. The products affiliated with the Partner (who CANNOT have installed in his local gaming equipment such as Slot Machines and VLTs), have discounts and this allows donations to have a greater benefit;

N.b.
The "Tucum-OdV" Association is the voluntary organization registered under no. 2289 of the Apulian Volunteer General Register, closely connected to the Project, to which donations are sent before being distributed to the respective bodies accredited and chosen by the Donor . This step allows the donor the 35% deduction.
