Play Dead is the official Grateful Dead streaming app, offering unprecedented hi-res access to the Grateful Dead Vault of live recordings.

For the first time, the band’s live legacy is brought together in a single official streaming service, with newly transferred and mastered recordings from the original sources.

Previously unreleased shows - called Dead Drops - will be available every Tuesday, augmenting the catalog of official live Grateful Dead releases, many of which have never been available on any streaming service.

This is a dream come true. The Dead sure have a way of collecting hundred dollar bills off of us Every Year, but I ain't complainin'! I'm privileged for the privilege. This has everything put out on CD (Dave's Picks included!) plus certain shows throughout the years, with two more from the vault added every Tuesday! I never rate apps but after 10 minutes with this I felt I had to. 10 bucks a month, hundo for the year. It's why we work.

EDIT: The situation is worse than I ever could have imagined. The shameless grifters running this have decided to implement one of the most overbearing DRM solutions (WideVine) to"protect" their precious streams. This locks folks who use open Android systems on HiFi devices like Fiio and iBasso DAPS out of using the software. Apple Music, Qobuz, Spotify, not a SINGLE other music service does this. Jerry is rolling in his grave, shame on you

This is awesome. Newly mastered shows from the original reels, weekly releases, Dave's Picks and more. This is how the legacy continues. The exclusive releases sound fantastic. App is cool too.
