About this app

Sheetwise is an offline tool for planning how to cut rectangular parts from full sheets of material. Enter a project's cut list once and generate a cutting layout together with an ordered sequence of cuts.
Who it is for
Woodworkers, cabinet makers, and workshops that cut sheet goods such as plywood, MDF, chipboard, or similar panel materials.
Projects
- Create projects with a name, material, blade kerf width, and edge trim values
- Set a trim allowance for each of the four sheet edges
- Track project status: draft, planned, in progress, done
- Search by name, sort by newest, oldest, name, or cost, and filter by status
- Duplicate an existing project
Cut list (parts)
- Add parts with a label, optional code, length, width, and quantity
- Set grain direction: none, along length, or along width
- Allow or disallow rotating a part during layout
- Attach notes to individual parts
- Reorder parts by dragging
- Identify duplicated parts and merge them
- Import a cut list from a CSV file, or export one
Materials and sheet sizes
- Define materials with thickness, default kerf, chart color, and price per square meter
- Add the sheet sizes you can buy, each with its own price and stock count
- Enable or disable individual sheet sizes
Cutting optimization
- Generate a cutting layout from your cut list and the available sheet sizes
- Choose what to optimize for: purchase cost, number of sheets, or material waste
- Account for blade kerf width on every cut
- Restrict layouts to straight (guillotine) cuts
- Reuse stored offcuts before opening new sheets
- Set a minimum offcut length and width to keep
- Optionally assign a cost per cut and group cuts by orientation
- Set a time budget for the calculation
- Compare available sheet sizes by sheet count, cost, material yield, cut count, and time
Cutting plan and cutting session
- Review each sheet with its parts, material yield, and cost
- View a diagram of the layout with optional dimensions and labels
- Zoom in, zoom out, or reset the view
- Follow the cutting steps one at a time and mark each cut as done
Offcut store
- Keep reusable offcuts after a plan is completed
- See each offcut's size, material, source, and date
- Mark an offcut as consumed, delete it, or turn it into a part in another project
Export and sharing
- Export a project report as PDF
- Export part labels as PDF in narrow strip (50×25), quarter A4, half A4, or full A4 formats
- Include a barcode, a grain direction arrow, and the project name on labels, and set copies per part
- Export the cutting steps as PDF
- Export the cut list as CSV
- Save files on your device or share them through your device's share options
Backup
- Export a backup of your data to a file
- Restore from a backup, choosing to merge with or to replace existing data
- Optional automatic local backup

Privacy
Sheetwise runs on your device. It requires no account, collects no data, and requests no Android permissions, including internet access.
Offline
Calculation, storage, and export are performed locally on the device. No network connection is needed at any point.
