Every day we receive a lot of information through multiple digital platforms. Given the volume of content received and the speed at which we perceive it, it is difficult to analyze the type of content we are facing, to know the source or to discern how reliable or truthful it can be. It is a necessary condition for the exercise of responsible digital citizenship, knowing how to identify if the information we handle is false, especially if it has been created to negatively affect people, groups or specific interests. Hoaxes and misinformation, on the rise and increasingly difficult to identify, affect all of us, even those of us who can act as simple transmitters.
“Information Disorder” is a playful-educational project, based on a platform video game, the objective of which is to encourage critical thinking and facilitate responsible decision-making regarding the disclosure of information.
It is an initiative devised and developed by PantallasAmigas that has the support of Twitter and is integrated into the SIC-SPAIN Project. It is aimed exclusively at Spanish educational centers and aimed at adolescent students and their families.
Your mission, as a leading apprentice in the video game, is to travel around the world collecting first-hand content to send it to the local newspaper office, which has hired you to update the information on its website. You must make sure that it is truthful information and that your mobile battery does not drain.
