About this app

PawsFree is an AI scribe for veterinarians that writes finished SOAP notes,
discharge summaries, and client care instructions inside the veterinary PIMS or EMR
you already use. Record the consult, review the draft, and the chart is closed
before you leave the exam room. Everything it produces is completely customizable,
so records come out the way you already write them.

NOTES THAT COME FROM THE RECORD, NOT JUST THE ROOM

Most veterinary AI scribes listen to the exam room and transcribe. PawsFree does
that too, but it also reads the chart. Before it writes a word, it pulls the
patient's bloodwork, imaging, referral records, and prior visits from your PIMS or
EMR, so the note reflects the whole case instead of the last twelve minutes of
conversation.

This is also why the notes hold up. A scribe that only hears the consult has to
fill in everything that happened before it, and filling in is where invented
findings come from. PawsFree writes clinical documentation from what is actually in
the record, and you review every draft before it is signed.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Open a patient in your PIMS or EMR. PawsFree opens in a sidebar next to it.
2. Record the consult, dictate, or type a few lines about what happened.
3. PawsFree gathers the clinical context: bloodwork, imaging reports, referral
letters, visit history. Then it drafts the note. (On supported PIMS and EMR
systems, with more on the way.)
4. Review, edit, and file it. You approve every record before it becomes part of a
chart.

WHAT YOU GET

- Finished SOAP notes, not raw transcripts
- Record-aware drafting that reads labs, imaging, referrals, and prior visits
- Ambient recording of the exam room consult, plus dictation
- PDF upload for outside labs, imaging reports, and referral records
- Mobile capture that syncs to your desktop. Record in the room, write at the
computer
- Discharge summaries, home care instructions, callbacks, and other client-facing
documents
- Completely customizable templates and output formats, built around how your
practice already charts
- Veterinary medical records written in your voice, learned from notes you have
already approved

WORKS WITH YOUR PIMS OR EMR

PawsFree runs as a sidebar inside the practice management or electronic medical
record system you already use, and reads the record through your own logged-in
browser session. It never stores your credentials.

Deep integrations are live or in progress for ezyVet, Shepherd, Vetspire, Digitail,
Provet Cloud, Instinct EMR, Vetter Software, and IDEXX Neo, with more added
regularly.

On a system we have not integrated yet? PawsFree still works. Universal mode keeps
your own patient list and accepts PDF uploads for labs and imaging, so you still get
record-aware drafting on server-based software like Cornerstone, AVImark, Impromed,
and IntraVet, and on closed corporate systems where an integration is not possible.

Tell us what you use at support@pawsfree.net. If enough of you ask, we build the
adapter.

WRITTEN THE WAY YOU WRITE

Generic AI charting reads like generic AI charting, and rewriting it costs you the
time the tool was supposed to save. With your permission, PawsFree reads records you
have written and approved and learns your phrasing, your structure, and your
preferences: how much detail goes in the subjective, whether you rank differentials,
how you word a plan. It works well out of the box, and it gets more like you the
longer you use it. You can turn it off at any time.

BUILT FOR PRACTICING VETS

- Small animal general practice
- Emergency and urgent care
- Specialty and referral
- Relief and mobile veterinarians
- Veterinary technicians and assistants documenting under a licensed DVM
