About this game

Slalom Ridge is an alpine ski racing game. Drop out of the start gate, carve through red
and blue gates down a steep slope and fight the clock for gold, silver and bronze.

CARVE WITH ONE FINGER
Drag to set your heading and the racer carves toward it. The faster you go, the slower
you can turn, so every line is a trade between speed and control. Hard turns bleed
speed, and hold TUCK on the straights to cut drag, but your turning drops while you are
tucked.

REAL SLOPE PHYSICS
Speed comes from the pitch of the slope and your angle to the fall line, against drag,
snow friction and the cost of carving. Ice patches steal your grip and send you sliding
along your old line. Moguls throw you into the air, where you cannot steer, and landing
sideways is a crash. Hit a tree or a safety net at speed and you tumble.

GATES THAT COUNT
Pass red gates on one side and blue gates on the other. A missed gate costs +2.00
seconds, and three misses in a World Cup race is a disqualification. Three crashes and
the run is over. Two split times show how you compare with your best on the way down.

THREE WAYS TO RACE
- World Cup: 9 courses in three disciplines — tight Slalom, flowing Giant Slalom and
fast Super-G. Win a medal to unlock the next course.
- Ghost Duel: race a translucent ghost of your own best line, with the live gap on screen.
- Night Race: a floodlit course where you only see what your light reaches.

THE SKI SHOP
Crystals earned on the slope buy four upgrade lines over five levels: Edge Grip for turn
rate and grip on ice, Base Wax for glide, Boots for response and Race Suit for a better
tuck. Every card shows the real numbers the physics uses.

STANDINGS
Five ranks from Rookie to Crystal Globe with their own insignia, career stats including
top speed and clean runs, and a best-times board for every course with your medals.

A COACH ON THE FIRST RUN
A short practice slope teaches carving, gate sides and the tuck, one step at a time.
