About this app

Piperka is a web comic tracking and bookmarking service with over 5000 comics listed on it. It doesn't host any web comics by itself but maintains a list of them and an index of their archive pages.

Piperka Client uses Piperka's database to offer browsing and navigation for web comics' archives in a unified manner. It stores users bookmarks and periodically contacts the server to check on any updates to the comics that users read.

Exactly what I was looking for for features on a web comic reader app; sync across devices, generous support for all my favorite comics and then some. 4 stars since the UI is beyond spartan (but usable!). I hope the author has still time and motivation to update the app in the future.

Doesn't have OAuth option to log in like the site, had to change to password mode in order to log in. Also, I can't see the point in using the app instead of just a browser. If it had anything like update notifications it'd be worth it, but as it is now I don't think there's really any benefit.

1. You say the app is licensed under gnu gpl, but you haven't actually provided any source code anywhere. There's no link here, on your blog, or on your github. 2. When creating an account inside the app, password confirmation is required, but the password inputs are plain text fields that don't obscure the password--this not only makes confirmation less necessary, I'm guessing this is also the reason LastPass isn't picking it up.
