Can't use in addition to real change Parked in Northeast and inserted three quarters in the meter. Needed another half hour, so I downloaded the app thinking I could add additional time to the meter that way. You have to choose one payment method or the other, they don't communicate at all. If the meter already has 15 minutes on it from quarters you inserted and you add 30 more via the app, it doesn't accrue to 45. Both forms of payment are kept completely separate, so my overall meter time wasn't increased. Wish that was clearly stated.
With what I've used so far (& learning how to use the "FIND VEHICLE") I DO "LOVE" THIS APP. I will give them the "5 stars" once they quit charging us the CONVENIENCE FEE !!! But I'm not impressed with the "$0.25" convenience charge to use this app. I figure the city is making more than enough money on the parking, they shouldn't need to charge us extra to use their app (as the convenience goes both ways & I'm not going to try to explain the reasons here).
I used to love this app, but lately it keeps freezing and stating it's unable to connect to the network. I've tried it connected to wifi or just my cell data, and it won't connect. It's very frustrating.
This has been a real benefit to my time and ease of use. The app is very user friendly. You set your information once and you're done. You can add multiple cars and payment methods. I park, I pull out my phone, I input the number on the poll, I set my time and I walk away. I don't have to walk half a block and stand in the rain to put money in a machine. I see people complaining about a $0.25 convenience fee but the way I see it I'm paying for this very useful service. There's a lot that goes in to building and supporting an app like this. I don't expect anything good to be free. I don't use it often enough that a quarter in any way hurts me financially. This is worth the quart. I can increase my time at the meter without ever leaving my chair. I can get notifications when I'm close to meter expiration. I have a built in record of payment should I need it. And if I forget where I parked I can look it up. The app tells you if you can't park there (time) . Love that. The information requested about your car is make, model and license plait which is completely reasonable to confirm you are the person who has paid for the time. I honestly can't think of anything I would change.
Not user friendly I've tried using this app to park several times, eveny time out either can't find the parking zone or there are issues with the payment I have tried Paypal and credit card
It usually works, but it looks atrocious. Users should try the main Parkmobile app; they just released a major new version, and it looks and feels great!
- Streamlined registration process
- We’ve made it easier to pay with the Parkmobile app in gated garages/lots
- You can now set your primary payment method but also switch payment methods before starting a new parking session
- Performance improvements and bug fixes
