Indian Butterflies is the oldest and most beloved butterfly watching app in India. Since, 2010 this is the only mobile app available on google play store which displays butterfly names in vernacular names. App supports Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Malayalam and Tamil.

Indian Butterflies is an ultimate field guide with information like butterfly's wing span, sexual differences, habitat, host plant, interesting facts, flight period, etc. users can use it easily at fields and sites.

Doesn't even allow to set locations and to checklist the butterflies of our locality. That option is just non functional basically.

There is sign in problem . Also says reset password and the email id is not active or shows ‘null' below the email id. This is really terrible. I tried many times to make an account.

Thanks for your feedback! We are in fact discontinuing with user management and registration process since all the features are available without requiring to login.

The app is good but it has a sign-in issue. After Registration when I tried to login it showa user not active. I tried with a different email but its still stuck there.

What's new

We update our app regularly to make it even better for you. Update to the latest version to get all the new features and improvements. We have completely taken off the user management functionality and hence there is no need to register or login to access additional information.
This release includes all below features:
- new butterfly records and photos
- alterations to the app navigation
- performance improvements to remove latency in some of our core experiences
