About this app

Weedfree Status Update is the field operations app for Weedfree staff. It replaces paper forms and ad-hoc messages with a single tool for daily shift reporting, vehicle and equipment checks, chemical record keeping, and on-site safety assessments.

This app is intended for Weedfree employees and authorised contractors only. A login is required and accounts are issued by Weedfree.

Designed for use in the field

The app is built for use on phones in vehicles and on site. Forms are short, structured, and submit once a connection is available. Data captured feeds straight into Weedfree's back office systems, removing duplicate entry and paper handling.

Lone worker safety

Weedfree staff often work alone in remote agricultural and roadside locations. The app includes a scheduled check-in feature that periodically prompts the user to confirm they are safe. The prompt is delivered as a full-screen, alarm-style alert that is visible and audible even when the device is locked or unattended, so it cannot be missed. If the user does not respond within the configured window, an escalation is triggered to notify the Control team. The app uses Android's exact alarm and full-screen intent capabilities solely for this safety function — they are not used for advertising, engagement, or any non-safety-critical purpose.

Privacy and access

This is a private business app. It is not intended for the general public. Sign-in requires credentials issued by Weedfree, and all data is associated with the authenticated user and their assigned vehicle or site.
